Featured in this lot are two 1950s straight razors from two different companies, Paul Drees (Solingen, Germany) and T. Noonan & Sons Company (Boston, Massachusetts). The first in this lot, from Paul Drees, is the Adresso No. 15 straight razor. Paul Drees straight razors were based in Solingen, Germany, a city renowned for producing high-quality cutlery and shaving tools. The company operated as a traditional, specialized manufacturer in the mid-20th century, with many of its, or related Alfred Drees, products created in the 1950s–1970s. This razor features an off-white colored celluloid handle construction and is marked on the handle with inlaid metal reading, "Solingen / 15 Adresso". The back of the blade is marked reading, "Paul Drees Solingen, Germany". The second razor, made by T. Noonan & Sons company in Boston, Massachusetts, is the KO Special and shows a multi-colored celluloid handle with inlaid metal reading, "Special". The blade is marked reading, "T. Noonan & Sons Co. / Boston, Mass. / Solingen, Germany / KO". Both razors show good condition overall with little wear present, but the T. Noonan & Sons Company blade is broken on the tip. No other signs of damage is noted. The Paul Drees blade measures 5 7/8" L x 3/4" W, with the handle measuring 5 3/4" L x 5/8" W. The T. Noonan blade measures 5 1/2" L x 5/8" W and the handle measuring 5 3/8" L x 5/8" W. They have a collective weight of 87.4 grams.
