Featured in this lot is this framed oil on board called "Harvest Time," circa 1938 from French artist Paulette Genet born in 1892 and died in 1983. The painting features a wonderfully and professionally crafted oil construction that shows a farm during harvest with mounds of hay stacked and the fields bare next to the stacks with a farmhouse in the background and a clear sky overhead. The artist signature can be seen in the bottom right hand corner. The frame is ornate with gold painted and a plaque on the bottom of the frame that reads as follows: Paulette Genet b. 1890 Stasbourg, France - Harvest Time - Northern France, c. 1938 - Exhibited 1935-1939, ref: Benezit Davenport. Paulette Genet was a French artist who was born in 1892. Paulette Genet's work has been offered at auction multiple times, the artist died in 1983. The condition of this oil painting shows some wear to the frame and some chipping to the paint of the frame and the board that is painted on is loose in the frame. The measurements of this framed oil painting is 28" x 36 3/8" and the visible artwork measures 23" x 30 5/8".
