Featured in this lot is a Pegge Hopper Signed Exhibition Poster for the O'Grady Galleries in Chicago, 1980, the artist's hand written signature is located on the bottom right. This beautiful lithograph poster portrays an island woman in soft and soothing tropical colours. The work of artist Pegge Hopper is a familiar sight in many island hotels, offices and homes. Originally from California, Peggy arrived in the islands in 1963. She has since made an enduring contribution to the Hawaii art scene with her distinctive paintings of Hawaiian women. She has had numerous one-person shows including The Contemporary Arts Center in Honolulu, Mauna Lani Bay Hotel, O'Grady Gallery in Chicago, Kimzey Miller Gallery in Seattle and at Parco in Japan. Her works are represented in many prominent and private collections such as the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, Honolulu Advertiser, the Pacific Club, Kona Village Resort, the renowned Bishop Museum, Honolulu International Airport, American Hawaii Cruise Lines and most recently, The Montage at Kapalua Bay on Maui. The poster lithograph is for the artist's exhibition: Pegge Hopper O'Grady Galleries Chicago March 20 - April 20 1980. The lithograph is in good overall condition, no obvious marring noted. Measures 22"W x 30"L
