Featured in this lot is this Pendleton Beaver State Indian Trade Blanket, circa 1970s-1980s. In 1912 Pendleton began producing wool blankets with authentic, traditional Native American Indian designs for some of the Northwest Tribes under the Beaver State label. Pendleton Blankets and the Beaver State label have since been highly regarded for quality, durability and warmth. The double-sided blanket shows a rich earth tone base of cream white and brown respectively with band fields of geometric patterns in colours of brown, red, orange, grey, and white with stepped decorations throughout. The identification tag reads as follows: Beaver State - Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. - Pendelton Woolen Mills - Robes and Shawls. The condition of this blanket is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this blanket is 79"L x 66"W.
