Featured in this lot is this "The Hunt," chandelier from Utah artist Peter M. Fillerup born in 1953 and died in 2016. The chandelier features a wonderfully and professionally crafted bronze and painted Parfleche hide construction that features a hanging rod design that shows a ring of Native American hunters rounding up buffalo to kill for food; the center piece of the chandelier is a painted Parfleche hide teepee with metal rods with depictions of Native American decoration of Native men riding horses. The bottom of the chandelier is a lead lined stained glass colored glass with segments of cream and red, green and other colors in a domed face. Peter M. Fillerup (September 4, 1953 - August 2016) was an American sculptor. He was trained by Utah sculptor Avard Fairbanks. He designed a sculpture of Porter Rockwell, who served on the Council of Fifty, as well as lighting fixtures for 20 LDS temples, including the Payson Utah Temple and the Lima Peru Temple. In 1997, he designed the Hilda Erickson Memorial Statue, a public statue in memory of all American pioneers in Grantsville, Utah. The condition of this hanging chandelier is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this chandelier is 39" x 30" x 30".
