Included in this lot for auction is an ancient, petrified wooly mammoth ivory tusk. The large tusk is split down the center, showing the thick inner core, the beautiful inner ivory growth rings, and the patina'd outer bark. As it sits, the tusk measures 16 1/8" long, and 5 1/4" wide. It is estimated the tusk would have measured approximately up to 21" around, and up to 7' long.
