Offered in this lot is a collection of modern prints of photos taken in the early 1920’s at a Native American Pow Wow in Chadron Nebraska. The town of Chadron Nebraska is just outside The Pine Ridge Oglala Lakota Indian reservation in South Dakota. These modern prints are from original negatives that were taken in the 1920's. The prints are on glossy 8" X 10" paper with the photos measuring 5 1/4" to 6 1/4" X 9 1/4". The fourteen prints show people in traditional dress poising and dancing. One photo says “Sioux Warriors Chadron Neb.” in the lower left corner. There is no other identification of who the the photographer or people are. These photos capture a long gone period of time. These prints have some very slight damage on the edges.
