Featured in this lot are four early photographs, two original photographs, and two stereoviews from the late 1800s to early 1900s. The first and largest photo shows a group of men sitting in camp watching another man, possibly a doctor, treat an older man laying on the ground. The second photograph shows a man standing in front of his horse as he looks towards the camera. The first stereoview was taken by Bierstadt and shows a pack party. Six men are on horses as they lead four mules through Yosemite Valley. The second stereoview was taken by Strohmeyer & Wyman and shows American Soldiers entrenched at Pasay in the Philippine Islands awaiting orders to fire. A row of men in a trench can be seen holding their rifles at the ready. The back is marked reading, "#1586 Spanish American War Dismounting Cavalry Fighting As Infantry". The photos show good condition overall with wear present from their age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. They measure from 6 1/2" L x 8 1/2" W to 3 1/2" L x 7" W.*
