One of the most popular cap-and-ball single-action revolvers ever made, the 1860 Army .44 was a mainstay in the Civil War, as well as the weapon of choice for Texas gunfighter, John Wesley Hardin, and other gunmen. Pietta's replica 1860 Army Sheriff .44-Cal. Black-Powder Revolver boasts a brass trigger guard, color-case-hardened steel frame, round barrel, and walnut grips. There's also a naval battle scene laser-engraved on the cylinder. This revolver utilizes an 8” round barrel chambered in .44 caliber. The barrel is fitted with a brass blade front sight and is stamped on top “Navy Arms Co. Ridgefield N.J.” The left side of the barrel is also stamped “Model 1860 Army Cal.44”. The right of the barrel is marked “Black Powder Only – Made in Italy”. This Model 1860 is in good condition, with evidence of use on the barrel and right grip. Serial Number: E4019.
