The awl has a wooden handle with a iron point set into the handle. The case is of intricate design beaded with ruby red and yellow beads with black beads centered on the case. The case has original leather straps and ornaments hanging from the top and a good length of horse hair hanging form the bottom. The awl fits snug in the case without much movement. The measurements of the awl are 8" in length to the bone and bead tassles. The full measurements of the case and awl are 14" x 1 1/2".
