Featured in this lot is this Plains Indian cloven deer hoof beaded dance rattle. The dance rattle is wonderfully and professionally crafted wood, cloven hoof, beaded, and Parfleche construction that shows goose feathers and horse hair adornments with leather strings and trade cloth decoration. The trade seed beads and fashioned on 3/4 of the dancing rattle with coloration of sky blue, medium red, dark blue, and yellow. The tip of the rattle shows jingle cones and ten total hooves. The condition of this Plains Indians dancing rattle is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this dancing rattle is 16 3/4" x 3 3/4" x 1 1/2". The collective weight of this dancing rattle is 6oz.
