For your consideration in this lot is a contemporary fur and wool Spirit Shield in the style of the Plains Indians. The hoop is 14 1/2" across and is 1" wide. The hoop is covered in black wool. The black leather shield in the center of the hoop has a grey rabbit fur center. From the bottom of the hoop hangs six hanks of natural color wool that have feathers and a wooden bead at the bottom of each hank, which is 15"-19" long. The fur center has two conchos with rawhide, bead, and feather tassels on each. The hoop also has four long rawhide, bead, and feather tassels. This spirit shield is in very good condition, showing minor wear.
