For your consideration is this Plains Indians parfleche bow, circa 1930's - 1940's. The bow shows a solidly constructed hardwood bow shaft with a parfleche decorated inside attached with sinew tie sections and decorated in red ochre paint. Plains Indians or Indigenous peoples of the Great Plains and Canadian Prairies are the Native American tribes and First Nation band governments who have historically lived on the Interior Plains of North America. The condition of this bow is good, with some wear to the parfleche covering on the inside of the bow. The measurements of this Plains Indians bow are 42 1/2" x 1" x 1".
