Featured in this lot is this Plains Indians polychrome Parfleche envelope made by Bryan Owl Feather. The envelope features a beautifully inscribed real buffalo hide Parfleche construction that shows a naturally dyed polychrome decoration of geometric patterns colored in with yellow, red and blue natural dyes. The edges are fringed with hide string and are covered in blue trade cloth. The condition of this Parfleche envelope is good with some wear due and fading to the colors but otherwise in good overall condition. The measurements of this envelope is 4 7/8" x 6 1/2" x 1/2".
