For your consideration Plains Native American Indian attributed or style Parfleche rawhide trunk showing a traditional geometric polychrome painted pattern and beaded adornments with Malachite and blue glass trade beads. The piece has a very rough manufacture showing crude lines of polychromal paint with antler buttons on the trunk to secure the lid of the trunk. The Parfleche is sewn with rawhide and Indian tanned hide. The boxes exact date and origin is unknown, but is in the styling of a 19th Century piece. The condition of this Parfleche trunk is good with no visible signs of damage. The measurements of this Parfleche Box is 10" x 19 1/2" x 9".
