This is a Plains Native American Indian buffalo horn headdress from the mid to late 1900’s. The headdress is made from tanned buffalo hide with a floral trade cloth cailco lining. The beaded headband shows a wonderful geometric design done in glass seed trade beads. Two prominent buffalo horns adorn the top of the headdress. The horns are joined by a series of sinew strung glass pony trade beads. The Plains Indian buffalo horn headdress is in good condition. It measures 14” x 25”.
