Featured in this lot is this 1996 reprint edition of, "Pocket Watches 19th & 20th Century" by Alan Shenton, printed in England. This book covers the time period between 1800-1940 and explores numerous types of pocket watches produced through the years, explaining in clear wording what to look for and what to avoid when purchasing or collection pocket watches. It includes hundreds of black & white photos throughout showing watches, diagrams, advertisements and more. Pages 6 through 12 features colored photos of various watches. The front of the dust cover reads, "Pocket Watches 19th & 20th Century / Alan Shenton" in white lettering and shows seven photos of different pocket watches. The spine shows the title, author and another smaller photo of a watch, while the back has a large photo. The book shows good condition overall with some wear from its use over the years but no signs of obvious damage is noted. The book measures 11" L x 8 1/2" W x 1 5/16" D and weighs 4 pounds and 4 ounces.
