Featured in this lot is this incomplete Expedition Pokemon deck from the E-Card Series circa 2002. The Expedition set is the first e-Reader set. The e-Reader sets brought many new aspects. First, the cards received a drastic layout change, removing flavour text, Pokédex data and Level. However, in addition to that, the cards were given a special e-Reader code to allow you to scan the card into the e-Reader peripheral on the GameBoy Advanced. These brought data about the specific Pokémon. However, some cards had the longer dot-code which contained pieces of mini-games. Some even had hidden attacks in their code. Expedition also brought in the division of Pokémon Powers into Poké-Powers & Poké-Bodies. This allowed for Poké-Bodies to always be active when the card is in play while Poké-Powers needed to be activated. This set also was the first non-reprint set to include Reverse-Holographic cards. The deck includes one reverse holographic card and is missing 132 cards from the deck. The cards in this lot show good condition overall with little wear present. The cards measure 3 7/16" L x 2 1/2" W, while the card sleeves measure 11 1/4" L x 8 13/16" W.
