Featured in this lot are two, powder horns and shot bag from the 1890s to 1900s. The first powder horn shows a steer horn construction with no markings present. It has brass and metal tacks around the base of the powder horn and shows a wood knob where a strap would be connected from and wrapped around the front of the powder horn for easy carrying. The second and smaller powder horn is constructed from a goat horn and is painted red near the tip. The tip is connected to the lower section of the horn where the powder would be poured from. The base of the horn is carved with straight lines showing a star shape. The final piece in this lot is a long and skinny leather shot bag with a leather carrying strap. The top shows a a brass fixture with a cord stuck in it to stop the shot from pouring out of the top. It has a few small lead shots in the bag still. The horns show good condition overall with little wear present and no signs of damage noted. The leather shot bag shows fair condition with wear present from its age and use over the years and some small tears / holes present. The horns measure from 7 3/8" L x 3 1/8" W x 2 1/2" D to 7 1/4" L x 1 1/2" W x 2 5/8" D. The leather shot bag measures 15" L (shot pouch) 25 1/2" L with strap included, 1 3/4" W x 3/4" D. They have a collective weight of 8 ounces.
