Presented in this lot is a Rare 1869 Edition of "Prairie and Rocky Mountain Adventures" by John C. Van Tramp, Segner & Condit Columbus, OH. publishers. "Prairie and Rocky Mountain Adventures or Life In The West" provides a firsthand account of life in the American west during the mid-19th century. John C. Van Tramp's adventures take him across the plains and mountains, where he encounters people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. From encounters with Native Americans to grizzly bear attacks, Van Tramp's stories are both gripping and illuminating, shedding light on a pivotal period in American history. A must-read for anyone interested in the American West. Calf skin leather bound hardcovers with gold gilt black morocco labels are in fair to nice condition for being over 150 years old, scuffing and staining noted on covers. Intact pages exhibit age tanning and foxing throughout. Measures 6.25"W x 9"L x 2.25"D, weight 3lb, 2oz.
