This is an exceptional circa early 1900 (Pre-1920) Rubellite Tourmaline three stone ring set in a fine 10K yellow gold engraved band. The ring shows three oval cut Rubellite Tourmaline stones showing an approximate total weight of 2.69 carats having a fine clarity and rich coloring with flashes of bright deep red, pinkish red, and purple. The setting shows a unique wide fully fluted design which has been hand engraved along the four outer edges of the ring, a truly artistic addition to a wonderful late Art Nouveau early Art Deco piece of jewelry. The stones consist of the center stone being approximately 1.34 carats and two side stones being approximately 0.70 and 0.65 carts for a total stone weight of 2.69 carats. The setting weights approximately 6.37 grams of 10K yellow gold showing a total weight of 6.9 grams with the stones. The ring is hallmarked, “10K” and shows a size 8.5 US. The stones appear to be natural in color and quality and the ring shows a very good condition. Provenance: From a New York City jewelry store that operated from the 1800's (19th Century) until its closing in 1920. The contents were attic stored until their sale in 2019 in Wyoming.
