Featured in this lot is a hand painted deer hide from the Pueblo Native Americans circa 1960s. The piece shows an Indian tanned hide with three sections of pink calcite and brass colored beads set in the middle of the piece. Painted in the center are geometric designs showing a light blue color while the main image is of a thunderbird showing colors of red, light blue, and orange / tan. The thunderbird is a mythical bird that symbolizes power, strength, and protection. The piece shows fair to good condition overall with wear and holes present from its age and use over the years. No major signs of damage noted. It measures 40 1/4" L x 33 1/2" W and weighs 10oz.*
