Featured in this lot is a Georgian style oak fireplace mantel originating from the circa 1890-1900's. The mantel displays solid oak construction and multiple different cuts across the wood. The piece is accented with lathe turned pillars, hand carved tops, and a hand carved floral design in the center of the mantel. The back of the mantel displays a partial paper manufacture tag marked with "Don't set this Mantel against a damp wall, GLP Co. It is made of kiln-dried lumber". The piece shows good condition overall, with some light wear due to age. The mantel measures 59 1/2" wide by 50 1/2" tall and 11 1/2" thick.
