Available in this lot we have a framed R. C. Gorman print titled "Chenoa". R.C. Gorman (1931-2005) was considered by many to be one of the premiere Native American artists. The New York Times once dubbed him the "Picasso of Indian Art". His artwork is collected by lovers of Contemporary Art as well as those specialising in Native American Art. His style is uninhibited and free flowing, with a color sense that captures and captivates the eye of the beholder. His works are in many museum and he is represented by galleries throughout the United States as well as a couple in Europe. The painting displays a native American woman sitting with her arms wrapped around her knee. The piece shows Gormans wonderful art style with purple coloration on the dress. The art is signed in the bottom left hand corner reading "R. C. Gorman" with a copper plaque at the center reading ""Chenoa R. C. Gorman". The print is set into a grey frame with a red border around most of the piece. The piece shows good condition overall with some light wear across the frame. The frame measures 21 1/2" wide by 25 1/2" tall with the art measuring 17 3/4" wide by 22 1/2" tall.
