This is an R.H. Ruana camp knife and leather scabbard. Rudy Ruana began making custom knives in the 1930's. His business has been family owned from the beginning and is still in operation today in Bonner, Montana. Ruana knives are highly regarded and sought after by knife collectors and enthusiasts. The knife features a broad sweeping hardened steel blade and an aluminum handle with inset antler grips. The handle is stamped "Ruana Bonner Montana" and "Clay Christian 3-30-97" across the top of the tang. The piece comes with a custom leather sheath marked "Ruana" across the front. The knife shows good condition overall and some light wear due to use. The knife measures 8 1/2" long, with the blade being 4" long.
