Featured in this lot is a bronze statue by R. Tait McKenzie of a posing woman figure, originating from 1922. Robert Tait McKenzie (1867-1938) was a Canadian physician, sculptor, educator, athlete, and soldier. The sculpture depicts a woman lying on her stomach with her arms crossed and elbows braced on the floor and her legs bent back with one foot touching the back of her head. The statue is signed across the bottom reading "R Tait McKenzie 1922". The bronze shows a dark patina and good condition overall. The statue measures 4" long by 2 3/4" tall.
