For auction in this lot is a signed Navajo Native American Indian, sterling silver, and 14 karat gold filled mudface kachina necklace. The kachina shows a chubby build, and is adorned in typical Navajo ceremonial garb, boasting a squash blossom, moccasins, and a decorative belt. The kachina hangs on a silver box link chain, and has a free floating head. The kachina is signed on the back with the signature of master Navajo silversmith "Ray Yazzie", and is additionally marked "Sterling" and "14k". Overall, the necklace shows good condition, with a warm natural patina. When unclasped and stretched out, the chain measures 20" long. The kachina pendant itself measures 3 1/8" tall, and 1 1/2" wide. The pendant and chain weigh out to 25.1 grams.
