Featured in this lot is this bronze sculpture called "Red Cloud," circa 1985 and by Albuquerque artist Ralph Roybal born in 1955. The bronze features a wonderfully and professionally crafted bronze construction that features a bust sculpture of Oglala Sioux chieftain Red Cloud and shows a beautiful patina to the bronze that shows colors of white for the collar and to the feather in his hair and is mounted no a hardwood shield. The bronze itself is marked and numbered 1/30 and the date of 1986. The plaque reads as follows: "Red Cloud" 1822-1909 - Oglala Sioux Chieftain - by Ralph Ryoubal. Ralph Roybal is an Albuquerque artist who devotes his talents to creating bronze sculptures of the American West. He worked in the Santa Fe Foundry and the Dell Weston Studio Foundry. Work at foundries gradually led to full-time sculpture work in 1985. The condition of this bronze is good with a slight looseness to the connection but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of this bronze 19" x 8 1/2" x 7".
