This is an outstanding early estate jewelry ring having a rare 1.77 carat Asscher cut center natural Diamond set in platinum in its original ring box and accompanied by a certificate of appraisal from Gem Gallery of Bozeman, Montana. The ring was found to have a 1.77 carat natural diamond with VS1 clarity, G color, Asscher cut and measurements of 6.88 x 7.64 x 4.18 mm. The ring is also set with two baguette cut natural diamonds that are .30 carats, G color and VS1 clarity. The ring has a Certificate of Appraisal from Jason Baide of Gem Gallery Bozeman, Montana, a GIA Gemologists which gives a value of $22,765.00 with the stone by itself carrying a $19,907.00 value. The ring comes directly from the Estate whose grandmother purchased or was gifted the piece new, thought to be circa 1930-1940's. The ring is well kept and is marked, "10% IRID. PLAT", this stands for 10% Iridium and 90% Platinum. This alloy gives a much stronger ring and became popular in early 1900. The ring has a rare, scarcely seen Asscher cut, which also became popular in the early 1900. The ring is a size 5.5 US and contains 4.3 grams of Platinum. The ring is in the original 1930's Davis Diamonds treasure chest ring box which shows a slogan of, "TODAY'S TREASURE TOMORROW'S HEIRLOOM". Amazing one family estate piece in fine well kept condition. Large VS1 nearly flawless high color diamonds of this size are exceedingly rare, especially in such a rare cut.
