For your consideration is this rare, 1901 first edition of, "History Of Our Wild West and Stories of Pioneer Life" by D. M. Kelsey, copy-righted by Thompson & Thomas in 1901 and published John R. Stanton Company in Chicago, Illinois. Some editions of this book, like this one, attribute the authorship to Buffalo Bill Cody. The book is a comprehensive account of the American Wild West and the lives of pioneers who settled in the region. The book covers the period from the early 1800s to the late 1800s, and it provides a detailed description of the events, people, and places that shaped the history of the Wild West. The book is divided into several chapters, each of which covers a different aspect of the Wild West. The first chapter provides an overview of the region and its geography, while the second chapter discusses the Native American tribes that lived in the area before the arrival of the pioneers. The subsequent chapters cover the pioneers' journey westward, their struggles and triumphs, and the various conflicts that arose between them and the Native Americans. The book also includes several stories of pioneer life, which provide a glimpse into the daily lives of the people who settled in the Wild West. These stories cover a range of topics, including hunting, farming, mining, and ranching, and they provide a fascinating insight into the challenges and hardships that pioneers faced. Also includes has stories about the lives of iconic western figures Davy Crockett, Daniel Boone, Kit Carson, and Buffalo Bill himself, along with some stories about lesser-known pioneers. The book is bound in a red cloth cover and shows an image of Buffalo Bill on a horse on the front with the title in black lettering. The book shows good condition overall with some wear present from its age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. The interior pages show little to no foxing or staining. It measures 8" L x 5 7/8" W x 1" D and weighs 1 pound.
