Featured in this lot is this rare 8th-11th C. Viking SCRAMAX knife dagger. The dagger features a wonderfully and professionally crafted iron construction that shows a curved blade that is a full tang with a hilt. The blade would have been wore as a freeman blade to signify status in the culture also known as a Saax. The condition of this this dagger is preserved with a heavy oxidation due to age and use with the hilt missing but otherwise is in preserved overall condition. The measurements of this dagger is 13 3/4" x 1 3/4" x 1/2". The collective weight of this dagger is 6oz.
