This is a natural 2.76 carat Tanzanite and Diamond Platinum Ring with a rare AAA quality. Tanzanite Is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company who named the stone Tanzanite. This example is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). The ring is from renowned designer Orianne Collins and is marked, "ORIANNE PT950". The solid platinum ring features a fantastic oval modified brilliant cut with brilliant cut crown natural Tanzanite stone with a total weight of 2.76 carats and AAA to AA quality / clarity with beautiful transparent eye clean finish with rich Violet Blue color and rare pleochroism giving different changes of colors when moved. The ring, which is a custom luxury solid platinum setting, shows the center large stone being prong set and surrounded by a double halo bezel that is diamond set and supported by a lattice under gallery and diamond set split shoulder. Overall, the ring is set with 82 prong set round brilliant Diamonds with a total weight of 0.60 carats, SI1 to SI2 clarity and G-H color. The piece comes with an AIGL (American International Gemological Laboratories, INC., a GIA certified lab AIGL#: K42E91-EA12871) report and appraisal which values the ring at $11,586.00. The ring shows a size of 6.5 US.
