Featured in this lot are these rare Brazilian Paraiba Tourmaline and Diamond 14K earrings with AIG paperwork. The pair are finely crafted from tested and hallmarked 14 karat white gold with a bright finish dandle earring pattern set with 14.42 carats of natural Brazilian Paraiba Tourmaline pear shaped cabochon stones with variegated greenish blue and purplish pink color. First discovered in 1988 in Paraiba, Brazil the Paraiba Tourmaline was immediately highly sought after due to the intense coloring due to copper, manganese and bismuth eventually selling for over $20,000 per carat. The set of earrings are also set with 1.87 carats of round brilliant Diamonds having a clarity of SI-1 to -1 and color of F-H. The set overall has a weight of 11.00 grams of 14 karat white gold and stones. The piece comes with an AIG (American International Gemologists, GIA Graduate) appraisal and gemological report which confirms the above info and gives an estimated retail value of $33,000.00.
