Featured in this lot is this 1965 rare collector’s first edition copy of “The Red Man's West”, selected and edited by Michael S. Kenedy from Montana, The Magazine of Western History. This is a collection of true stories of the frontier Indians. This collector's rare first edition copy is numbered 133/199 and features a hand cut buckskin cover by George Seipp. It shows a silk screen cover design by Robert F. Morgan, a Montana Historical Society Curator, that is based on an original drawing by the talented late Assiniboine-Sioux full blood, Fire Bear (William Standing). The slip case features a design from Russell's "Peace Talk". This is an illustrated copy. The condition of this book is fair to good, with slight wear to the inside of the spine and discoloration to the outside of the buckskin wrapped cover.
