Featured in this lot is this rare Dardanelle Wasco County, Oregon point from the Mississippian Period and aged from 600 400 B.P. The point shows a thin, small triangular side notch construction with a flattened cross section. The point shows parallel notches high on the stem with an expanding base that is excurvate in nature. The point was knapped from an almost translucent obsidian material. The condition of this point is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this point are 1 7/8" x 7/8" x 1/4". The book value on this point is $400.00, as seen in the 9th edition on page 562.
