Offered in this lot is a pair of First Edition Western-theme books. The first book is the Rare "Cowboys and Cattle Kings- Life On The Range Today",1950, C.L. Sonnichsen, signed on the title page, illustrated. A detailed account of the lives of cowboys and cattle ranchers contemporary to the original publication of this book. Includes fascinating details of life on the plains in the mid twentieth century and a comparative look at the true Wild West, of great value to those interested in this iconic part of American history, not to be missed by collectors of such literature. Original paper dust jacket is worn but intact. The next book is "Frontier Dust" By John Lord, 1926. This First Edition has a forward by Natalie Shipman. This book tells the stories of the men "...who have left no records because they have never acquired a legend...". "Frontier Dust" is a historical fiction novel written by John Lord. Set in the late 19th century, the story follows the life of a young man named Jack who leaves his comfortable life in the East to seek adventure and fortune in the American West.
