Presented in this lot is a Vintage Rare German Puma Solingen Horn Stag Handle Hunting Boot Knife and Leather Sheath, circa mid-century, and leather sheath. Solingen, Germany known as the “The City of Blades.” is acknowledged worldwide for its outstanding knife craftsmanship. In the early medieval period, Solingen was already known for its blacksmiths and cutlers, who produced various iron goods, including knives. The production of silverware was a highly skilled craft, and the blacksmiths of Solingen became known for their expertise in the field. This knife features chrome guard and pommel, nicely variegated hand carved stag handle, overall good condition. Blade shows wear, heavy patina. Blade measures 5.25"L, knife is 9.25"L, sheath is 5"L, collective weight is U6oz.
