Offered in this lot is a very rare John Held Jr. woodblock print that is hand signed in graphite by the artist on the border. John Held Jr. (1889 – 1958) was an American cartoonist and author. He was one of the best-known magazine illustrators of the 1920s. Held's work appeared regularly in The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Harpers Bazaar, and Life Magazine. This print is “By Gone Days". The print shows three gentlemen and a bartender drinking at a bar. The print is very nicely matted and professionally framed. The shown art measures 11" X 14 1/4". The frame measures 19" X 22 1/2".*
