The lot features a rare, late 19th Century stamp box featuring Hunkpapa Lakota Sioux Chief, Sitting Bull. The front shows his famous D.F. Barry taken image and marked "SITTING BULL" underneath with a fancy border. Inside the box is a gilt and dark maroon liner with M&S markings. The stamp box is well kept and comes from a large Eastern Montana Historic Native American and Western museum collection. Measures 2" by 2" by 1.25". The condition of this stamp box is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition The measurements of this stamp box 1 1/4" x 2" x 2".
