Offered in this lot is an Original Theatre Lobby Movie Poster, "Unholy Rollers", 1972. This Rare Original large poster would have been used in theatre lobbys to advertise this movie. This 40" x 60" poster is in colour, 40" x 60" posters are the rarest size of movie poster advertising, the cost to acquire one for your theater was as much as 20 times the amount as a standard movie poster. These 40" x 60" posters are printed in infinitely higher resolution than standard movie posters- by any measure, these are the ultimate vintage high quality, fine art print versions of any movie advertisement. An action comedy, this movie typifies the exploitation genre field of movies that were popular during the 1970s, generally low-quality "B" movies. The movie featured Mary Eileen Chesterton, professionally known as Claudia Jennings, the "Queen of B movies" as the main character Karen. Karen wants more action out of life and quits her job at the cannery to become a skater in the roller derby. She encounters friction from the other skaters but especially Mickey, the current star of the team. Karen proves herself a feisty competitor but refuses to be a team player. As she skates her way to stardom, she incurs the wrath of jealous team members and the owner of the team. Poster is identified at the bottom with a 1972 copyright from American International Pictures, "property of National Screen Service Corp. Licensed for display only in connection with the exhibition of this picture at the theatre licensing this material. Licensor agrees not to trade, sell or give it away, or permit others to use it, nor shall licensee be permitted any credit upon return of this material. This material must be returned immediately after use." This theatre lobby poster is in good condition overall, some slight fraying and creasing noted along poster edges, larger tears noted at bottom border, no other obvious marring noted. Measures 40"W x 60"L
