This is a long strand of Rare Vaseline beads, commonly called "Goose Berry Beads". The beads are a milky yellow/green color with white stripes. Many of the beads have 24 stripes or more. These beads are aged between 1475 and the 1600's. Most of the beads are 1/4" X 1/4" and strung on raffia. The strand measures 40". Provenance: letter of appraisal from Out-West Designs, L. W. Dinneen, with a value of $1700.
