For your bidding pleasure is this Rathauskeller Authentic Poster by Albert Stolz. This poster seems to be printed around the turn of the century, it shows a wine poster crafted in the now rare Arts and Crafts style; it is a look that emerged mostly out of Northern Europe and quickly flourished into the well-known French Art Nouveau style. This style usually has weighted, natural colors, chunky lines, and more masculine-based features. Rathauskeller also has a very interesting historical spin. During the time this piece was printed, the company’s location, Bozen, was a town in Southern Austria. Less than two decades later as World War I was coming to a close, Bozen (or now ‘Bolzano’)was land granted by the Triple Entente to Italy as a reward for declaring war on the Austro-Hungarian Empire and maintaining the northern border battle lines. The town remains Italian to this day. This piece is an authentic vintage poster from an original run. The poster is in good display condition. The measurements of this poster are 45 1/4" x 35"
