For your consideration is this Red Ochre, flint knife blade that is aged from 3,000-1,500 B.P. and from the Late Archaic to Early Woodland period. This is a broad, large, ovoid shaped blade with an elliptical cross section. The blade is excurvate and is one half the width as it is in length. The base is truncated and is formed with broad percussion flaking. The point is constructed from grey flint material. The condition of this blade is good with no obvious signs of damage and is in good museum quality condition. The measurements of this Red Ochre blade are 6" x 2 1/2".
