For your consideration is this framed Frederic Remington illustration from Maruja and Other Tales, Vol. V of The Writings of Bret Harte, published by Houghton Mifflin and Co. circa 1896. Frederic Sackrider Remington (October 4, 1861 – December 26, 1909) was an American painter, illustrator, sculptor and writer who specialized in depictions of the American Old West. The artwork shows two men riding down a dusty trail past a fort; and shows the artist signature in the bottom right hand corner. The condition of this framed etching is good with no signs of damage to the artwork and the quarter sawn oak frame is in pristine condition as well. The measurements of this framed artwork is 13 1/2" x 16 1/2" and the visible art measures 4 1/4" x 6".
