Featured in this lot we have a Remington Model 11 semi auto shotgun chambered in .12 gauge. The Model 11 is Remington's licensed manufactured shotgun off of John Browning's Auto-5 designs. Remington produced the Model 11 from 1905 to 1947 making it the first auto loading shotgun manufactured in the United States. The shotgun displays a 28" long barrel with adjustable coke at the end, walnut stock and fore grip, internal tube magazine, hard rubber butt plate, and semi auto action. The top of the barrel is marked "MODEL II THE REMINTON ARMS UNION METALLIC CTG. CO., INC. REMINTON ILION WKS. ILION. N.Y. U.S.A. BROWNING'S PATENTS OCTOBER. 9. 1900. DEC. 17. 1901. SEPT. 30.1902. AND JUNE 16. 1903". Mechanically the shotgun shows a smooth action and crisp trigger. The piece shows good condition overall with some light wear due to use and handling. The shotgun weighs 8lbs 8oz.
