The lot features an excellent early E. Remington & Sons New Model No. 4 (Number 4) single action spur trigger revolver chambered in .38 RF rimfire caliber. The revolver was manufactured from circa 1877 to 1888 and features a 2 1/2 inch round barrel with nickel factory finish and a bone or tusk deluxe like grip. The five groove rifling appears to be in good condition and the pistol functions well. The top of the barrel is marked, "E. REMINGTON & SONS ILION N.Y." along with being marked on the frame above the cylinder with the serial number of 10057. The pistol shows much of the original finish and wear indicative of its early age. These small pocket or vest medium frame Remington pistols were very popular on the American Frontier and Old West showing use with gamblers, private purchase US Indian Wars soldiers and other icons of the West that needed a close range pocket firearm. This is an ANTIQUE FIREARM that requires NO FFL.
