Featured in this lot is this Robinson Ransbottom 1 gallon stoneware crock circa 1920's. The crock features a wonderfully and professionally crafted stoneware construction that shows a dark brown glaze decoration to the top of the crock and shows the Robinson Ransbottom hallmark with a '1 Gal' mark in its center. The Robinson Ransbottom Pottery. In 1900, Frank Ransbottom and his brother started a pottery company in Roseville, Ohio to make stoneware and pottery. By 1916 Ransbottom Pottery was the largest producer of stoneware jars in America. The condition of this 1 gallon crock is good with a slight chip to the base of the crock and a patina adorning the crock consistent with the age of the crock but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of this crock are 11 3/4" x 6 1/2" x 6 1/2".
