This is the personally owned custom-made double silver mounted spurs from Ron Gillett from the 20th-century from the Ron and Linda Gillett ex-collection. Ronald Earle Gillett (1940-2024) of Hagerman, Idaho was considered one of the foremost experts on high-end spurs, chaps, bits, bridles, saddles, and guns of the cowboy era. He owned the best set of Qualley Brother Spurs, which sold at Morphy auction in 2024 for $25,200. This set shows a beautiful California pattern spur with squared off drop shank with large chap guard and rowels. The body is silver and brass mounted with RON in silver and an Idaho state outline in brass on one side and Triangle-C brand on the other side in silver. The set has black spur straps and are well kept. Ron Gillett also had a set of Steve Schmidt custom made bit previously sold at auction for $1300 in 2025. These are not signed.
