For your consideration is this framed original painting done by Rose Ann Day, an American postwar and contemporary painter who was born in 1949. Born and raised in the Detroit area Day’s exposure to art came early through visits to museums and watching her creative parents. Day cites her parents as major influences as they were always working with their hands; designing, building, & also planting gardens. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Western Michigan University and a Masters from Oakland University, Day taught school for 10 years before she and her family moved to the Southwest. Rose Ann Day’s work is included in permanent museum, corporate, and personal collections throughout the world. This framed painting shows a black and grey Southwestern pot surrounded by an array of colored flowers set against a blue background and white base. The painting is signed in the bottom right hand corner reading, "R. A. Day ©". The frame features a single matting of canvas and shows a silver painted wood frame with a simple repeating design on the border of the frame. Overall the painting and frame are in good condition with no signs of damage. The art measures 5 1/2" L x 7 3/8" W. The entire piece measures 12 1/2" L x 14 1/2" W.
