Presented in this lot is a Rare Original Russell Chatham Lithograph, "Summer Twilight", Artist's Proof, Signed, 1987. This is one of his highly sought-after earlier large-format lithographs measuring 34" x 45". It captures an intimate, atmospheric evening transition; an evocative, low-light marine setting showcasing a solitary sailboats at anchorage on calm water. Chatham framed this lithograph with wood from his Hawaii home. Legendary American Western artist Russell Chatham (1939–2019) was known for his tonalist style, Chatham captured the deeply haunting, muted glow of changing evening light over Western waters. Chatham utilized a meticulous, pioneering printmaking process that required anywhere from 30 to 50 distinct layers of color and hand-drawn plates. He hand-pulled his prints using complex color shifts, capturing an "optical vibrancy" that mimics subtle changes in seasonal weather and twilight. This beautiful and impressive original lithograph is in very nice condition, light scuffing on frame. Visible art measures 33.75"W x 44.75"L, frame is 40.75"W x 51.75"L x 2.5"D. Combined weight is
